Empingham to Thistleton
Leaving Empingham the walk goes through farmland and parkland on the way to Tickencote, then Great Casterton, where it follows the road before heading off again through farmland and into Clipsham Quarry, arriving in Clipsham village. Again, following alongside the road from Clipsham to Stretton, under the A1 and across fields passing under the approach to the runway at the former RAF base at Cottesmore to come out in Thistleton village.
