Thistleton to Oakham
Follow the road away from Thistleton towards the Leicestershire border which the route hugs until it arrives in Teigh. Cross the field from the church and head through farmland to the railway line, and undulating ground towards Whissendine with its famous windmill. Sadly, the route doesn’t pass the windmill but beautiful views of it over the wide open landscape on the way towards Langham are some consolation. From Langham, route around and up the hill behind Barleythorpe before returning downhill to Oakham coming out near station. Then head back to town and your start point in the Market Place.
